The Importance of Minerals to Our Health
Minerals are amongst the most important elements needed by body. They are directly and indirectly involved in every bodily process. Along with amino acids (protein), minerals are the basic building blocks of every cell in the body. Asparagine is non-essential because it can be manufactured or synthesized by the body.

Inorganic means that it is not ionic or that it does not have a charge because of a lack of electrons. Minerals that are too large in size also cannot be absorbed and utilized by cells in the body. Colloidal minerals, which became prevalent in the 1980's were used with mixed results because they are too large for the cell to easily assimilate them. Copper (Cu), Zinc (Zn), Magnesium (Mg), and Cobalt (Co) compete with iron. Angstrom minerals do not compete with each other nearly as much as minerals consumed in other forms. Once again, this is because of the atomic size of the minerals that are being consumed.
